Beejal is a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Beejal gained valuable experience having audited a wide range of corporates whilst at Ernst & Young where after she worked for over 5 years at the world’s largest brewer AB InBev, at its South African subsidiary The South African Breweries (SAB).

Beejal headed up the Group Accounting & Reporting Division of SAB where she was instrumental in centralizing and improving many operational finance processes, co-ordinating and delivering an end-to-end financial close as well as providing sound technical accounting advise.

Her desire to uplift South Africa drove Beejal to own and manage the improvement in SAB’s broad-based black economic empowerment scorecard as well as play a pivotal role in the company’s empowerment scheme, SAB Zenzele. She also served as the independent chair of the SAB Medical Aid Audit Committee.
