Bhavesh holds a Bachelor of Science (Actuarial Science) as well as Honours in Actuarial Science through the University of Witwatersrand.

Bhavesh started his career as an actuarial consultant to the healthcare industry working for International consulting firm NMG Consultants & Actuaries. He worked with some of the largest medical schemes in the country in addition to conducting post-retirement medical aid liability obligations for some of the largest multi-national mining houses.

He then moved in to the investment banking arena taking up a post in the capital management team at ABSA Capital.

Not long after this Bhavesh was approached by 27four Investment Managers, a large, growing institutional South African multi-manager, to be a portfolio manager for a suite of niche fund of hedge funds and multi-asset class local and global funds. Bhavesh went on to set up the first Regulation 28 compliant Shari’ah Fund of Funds which is now a market leader in its space. In addition, together with the 27four team, he set up South Africa’s first listed African equity Fund of Funds.

Bhavesh is passionate about investment management and his client’s welfare is his foremost concern. He has spent many years advising and managing assets of high-net-worth individuals, families and businesses. Through his extensive institutional relationships with big South African banks and asset managers, Bhavesh is able to structure bespoke investment solutions for his clients.
