Nirishi  is a qualified Chartered Accountant and member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Nirishi gained extensive experience for over 10 years at the world’s largest brewer AB InBev, at its South African subsidiary The South African Breweries (SAB). 

Nirishi headed up the Financial Services Division at SAB that included Group Accounting & Reporting, Group Tax, Group Treasury & Risk, Group Finance & Control and Employee Benefits.  Her passion for wanting to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate led her to be involved in the creation of SAB’s first empowerment transaction, SAB Zenzele.

Following this Nirishi also led, developed and managed the Africa Zone Corporate Affairs function that owned the Zone’s corporate social responsibility programmes, transformation mandate, public and regulatory affairs.  Nirishi has served as a trustee, director and audit committee member on a number of boards including chairing of the SAB Provident Fund and Investment Committee. She served on the Education Committee for SAICA for a number of years and completed her post-graduate diploma in business management (MBA level 1), SAB Management Development Programme and the GIBBS Leading Women Course.
